Summary
Namya Dub collects no data about you and operates no server on your audio path.
Data processed
- Tab audio is captured only after you press Start, only from the tab you choose, and is sent directly from your browser, under your own API key, to Google Gemini for translation. Namya never receives, stores or views it.
- Gemini API keys are stored only in the extension's local storage on your device and are sent only to Google for authentication.
- Settings and usage statistics stay on your device and are removed by "Reset stats" or by uninstalling.
- Recordings are saved to your Downloads folder only when you ask.
What we don't do
- No analytics, tracking, ads or cookies.
- No collection of page URLs, titles, browsing history or page content.
- No selling or sharing of any data.
Permissions
Page access is used only to draw subtitles on the tab being dubbed; no page content is read or transmitted.
Google services
Audio is processed by the Google Gemini API under the Gemini API Terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
